At Enhance Movement our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) want to help support, motivate and empower YOU to improve your quality of life but also give YOU the best, honest advice to guide YOU throughout your journey with us whether that is short or long. We spend time getting to know YOU, your goals, and your plans to work alongside YOU helping bridge any gaps that YOU may come across.
An AEP is a university-qualified allied health professional, specialising in human movement, connecting the mind and the body on every level via movement. At Enhance Movement our role for our AEP is to help design, deliver and evaluate clinically safe and effective exercise and education interventions for people living with acute, sub-acute, chronic health and medical conditions, injuries, neurological, psychological, metabolic, musculoskeletal, pulmonary/respiratory, and oncology conditions. We believe that any ability has the power to enhance through movement.
As an AEP, we can help YOU understand how your body moves and how your body wants to move but more importantly, understand why movement is so important. We can help YOU manage in many areas such as:
At Enhance Movement, we believe that movement should be a celebration of what your body can do. Clinical Pilates is a form of movement that follows these principles:
Clinical Pilates is a prescribed exercise for YOU as an individual, considering your health needs, movement bias, what YOU can do now, and what YOU want to be able to do in the future. On occasion, we enjoy a Latte or two along the way. If YOU want to join our Clinical Pilates Class, please contact us directly so we can get YOU started.
We love anything that involves surrounding yourself with like-minded people and busting a move or two. At Enhance Movement we encourage group exercise sessions so YOU can exercise and move with friends, family, workmates or teammates. We provide group sessions from groups of 2 up to 12. We want YOU to feel comfortable, confident and proud when it comes to exercising and we are always wanting to hear from YOU about what group sessions YOU would like more of, so please reach out and we can put together a plan that works for YOU and your fellow movers. If YOU want to join our Clinical Group Exercise Physiology Class, please get in touch with us directly so we can get YOU started.
We are lucky enough to have one of our teammates at Enhance Movement who has a world of knowledge in the realm of Strength and Conditioning (S&C). Our AEP has been a Level 1 ASCA Coach for 16 years and happens to know a thing or two when it comes to finding the best type of conditioning program for YOU. S&C is such a vital form of movement for anyone at any age with any ability. Keeping your body strong, having good mobility, and standing tall and proud are important and we want to teach YOU those skills. If YOU want to join our Clinical Strength & Conditioning Class, please get in touch with us directly so we can get YOU started.
We believe that the brain is an amazing and fascinating part of the human body. We know that science is learning and researching so much about how our brains work and how we can increase our neuroplasticity. It's a big word we know but it is what we are passionate about here at Enhance Movement. Neuroplasticity is the capacity of the neural system to respond and adapt to functional demands. It is a lifelong process that underpins learning, behaviour and memory.
We are very passionate about anything NEURO!
