We know her as Tash. She is bright, passionate, dedicated, helpful, and caring. She loves a good chat over coffee. She has always had a calling to help, support, guide, and educate others in anything that can enhance their movement. She started working in the fitness industry straight after finishing high school. She loved sports, dance, running, and anything that would get her moving.
She always wanted to help others, from the weights area to the netball court to the dance studio. Always being a bit of a bookworm, she graduated with her first Dual Diploma (Sports & Recreation/Fitness) in 2006. Being busy in gyms, running classes and boot camps, she wanted more from the fitness industry and decided to hit the books again. Falling in love with Pilates in 2006, Tash has always wanted to share that knowledge and movement with her patients and clients, from mat work to clinical equipment, bands, and boxes.
As an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association Accredited Coach (ASCA Level 1), Tash was able to refine and build her skills in understanding human movement. However, she was always hungry for more knowledge. She continued to learn about movement and how it could help others, graduating with her Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences in 2015, and her Graduate Diploma of Exercise Science in 2016. Her role on the Allied Health Course Reference Committee at CQUniversity since 2017 has allowed her to translate real-world experiences into practice for the next generation.
Empowering others throughout her professional career, she felt that something was still missing: knowledge and understanding, and she wanted to improve the level of care she could provide to her patients and clients. So yes, she is a bookworm again, and she started her journey to advance her scope in Neurological Rehabilitation. Having now achieved her Post-Graduate studies in Neurological Rehabilitation in 2023, Tash has been able to dive deeper into neuroscience and apply her evidence-based practice to her patient-centred care.
The 'light bulb' moment that led to the creation of Enhance Movement was a pivotal point in Tash's career. Her passion and personality shine when she shares the journey with people, and she always goes above and beyond for her patients and clients, no matter how hard or small the task. With over 19 years of movement experience and knowledge, her passion, drive, and care have never wavered.
